HAGSTRÖMER LIBRARY AUTUMN TERM 2020

After being closed in the spring, the Hagströmer Library will now open for certain public activities in the autumn of 2020. We offer face masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitizer to all visitors and reserve the right to refuse entry to visitors who do not follow the Public Health Agency's recommendations on social distancing.
All bookings are made via:hagstromerlibrary@ki.se

Reading room opening hours
The reading room is now open Wednesdays and Thursdays 9-12. We can only accept pre-arranged visits and would like to warn that we may have to say no to visitors as space in the reading room is limited.

Library tours and viewings in Tingshuset
We are now accepting pre-booked groups of up to a maximum of 10 people. If your group is larger, it is good to book two or more consecutive screenings.

Guided tours of the library usually take two hours and always include a presentation of a select number of books and/or manuscripts conducted by specialists from our knowledgeable staff. If you inform us about your special interests in advance we will do our best to accommodate them!

Library tours via video link
From the autumn of 2020, we will also offer library tours via video link (zoom or teams). The price for this is the same as for regular screenings. More details of this on request.

Current prices are:
Two-hour guided tour for 10-20 visitors                       3300 sek
  • Two-hour guided tour for up to 10 visitors                   2000 sek
  • One-hour guided tour for up to 20 visitors                   2000 sek

  • Groups from Karolinska Institutet pay a reduced charge.

Book a tour via email: hagstromerlibrary@ki.se

    Meetings, events and conferences

Groups from Karolinska Institutet can, as usual, book floor 4 free of charge for workshops or mini-conferences to the extent that we have staff who can receive and show out guests. However, the number of participants is limited to 10 because there is limited space in the house that makes it impossible for larger groups to keep sufficient distance

Food, drink and snacks for meetings can be ordered to premises from the restaurants on Karolinska Institutets campus Solna.

Contact us at hagstromerlibrary@ki.se for more information.

    Information for visitors with disabilities

Accessible toilets are available on all four main floors.

The elevator reaches all floors and has a weight allowance of 480 kg.

Elevator and doorways accept wheelchairs of a maximum width of 78 cm.
